little women is a novel published in 1868 and written by american author louisa may alcott. the story concerns the lives and loves of four sisters growing up during the american civil war. it was based on alcotts own experiences as a child in concord, massachusetts with her three sisters, anna, may, and elizabeth. little women is the story of the marches, a family used to hard toil and suffering. although father march is away with the union armies, the sisters meg, jo, amy and beth keep in high spirits with their mother, affectionately named marmee.

their friendly gift of a christmas holiday breakfast to a neighbouring family is an act of generosity rewarded with wealthy mr. laurences gift of a surprise christmas feast. however, despite their efforts to be good, the girls show faults: the pretty meg becomes discontented with the children she teaches; boyish jo loses her temper regularly; while the golden-haired schoolgirl amy is inclined towards affectation. however, beth, who keeps the house is always kind and gentle. after certain happy times winning over the laurences, dark times arrive as marmee finds out about her husbands illness. worse is to come as beth contracts scarlet fever in her samaritan efforts for a sick neighbour and becomes more or lean invalid. the novel tells of their progreinto young womanhood with the additional strains of romance, beths terminal illness, the pressures of marriage and the outside world. this is the story of their growing maturity and wisdom and the search for the contentedneof family life.

it was written in 1867 and is a fictionalised biography of alcott and her sisters. it has become a much loved classic tale and, while some of its issues seem outdated, many of the trials of the sisters are all too relevant today as evidenced by its continued following.

over the course of this semester,i read a moving book:the little prince.it impressed me a lot, especially, the pure but deep emotionlovebetween the characters such as the pilot and the little prince, the rose and the little prince, the fox and the little prince.the book remind me of the pure and nice emotion only found in childhood.

the main character our little prince live on a planet named b612 accompany with there volcanoes an a rose who falls in love with him but can not understand each other.consequencely,he leave his planet and his endless travelling.during this period,he come across a diversity of people. from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd.then he enter earth and found thousands of roses alike.the little prince discovers that his rose is not the only ,plenty of her kind are everywhere, but then he realizes that his rose is special because it is she that i have watered; because it is she that i have put under the glass globe; because it is she that i have sheltered behind the screen . then he fall across the fox.she

teaches the prince it is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye

what impresses me the most is the foxs words.love is a strange stuff.sometimes we see it but cant grasp it.yet, true love may be, to some extent, invisible in surface but may last permanent.apart from love, others as well.indeed, sometimes what we consider right turn out to be wrong, what we consider real proves fictitious, what we confused may just turn out to be the truth.the path in searching for truth may long and time-consuming,we should harbour conviction,b will and high hope.no matter what barriade in front of us,we ought to be couragous and face up to the challenge.

recently, i have reading the book "jane eyre. although i forgot some details in the book, jane gave me deeply impression, i admire her very much. after that the teacher also told us to put the play in to a movie, and then we all can touch each heros soul in the book. the play it mainly tell us how jane is growing up when suffering from great difficulties and painless. whats more, it is impressed me that she still love her master even if he is blind at last due to rescue his mad wife.

and i like the classic lines what jane said to mr. rochester :"do you think i can stay to become nothing to you? do you think i am an automaton? a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong! i have as much soul as you, and full as much heart! and if god had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, i should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you.

i am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh; it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at gods feet, equal, as we are!" its so beautiful, jane is a girl who will never lose confidence in life and always sensible when handling with some motional problems. jane was huge in my heart. she can control her life and fate. she knew how to continue her life and she got it!

maybe after what she told me i have known that what love is and how to love and to be loved! the book is a book worth of reading, so all in all lets enjoy it!
